It carried my 15.6″ laptop in its padded sleeve along with a ton of stuff, insluding infated neck pillow, medium weight jacket, money purse, medicines, toiletries, and e-reader. The straps will hold up – no question, and were VERY comfortable on the shoulder and arm. I did not use the long strap at all, the short straps…
