My First Pet was a great little gift for a 1st Birthday We had something similar years ago for our own children and the door opened… Interestingly, when I gave it to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, first thing,…she tried to open the door and told me it was broken… the animals are silky soft and adorable and the cat sounds just like a cat. My First Pet was a great little gift for a 1st Birthday. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend $20 on this gift but once I got it, I have to say it really was cute as a button. It was packaged well as it arrived with a plastic bag over the item to keep it clean. These seem to be perfectly sized animals for little hands.
