Deceptively insecure. You are only as strong as your weakest point. You are only as strong as your weakest point, and though it may look tough, it has very weak “locking” points and is easily bent. When setting the combo on the lock, it is extremely easy for the digits to automatically rotate when rotating the shackle back and you risk setting a number you didn’t intend, so you have to hold down all four digits when rotating back. Horrible lock:1) the length of the shaft is too long – it bobbles around when you’re walking with it, and the lower one drags on the ground loudly and gets caught on things. Plus they’re so long you can actually open the case an inch or so – enough to get your hand in. If you’re only using one lock, you can open it almost a foot – enough to get everything out.2) I had two locks on my pelican air, and one came back bent and broken, like the other poster. You do not get what you pay for. I purchased these thinking: “Great, a lock to fit my Pelican case that meets TSA requirements”. My first use was a Trans-Atlantic flight and one of the four locks literally broke at the seam. While it did not fall apart, it was ready to. I scrolled to my combo while holding the lock together in order to be able to scroll the dials and upon my combo being completed the shackle came all the way out of the body, it is not supposed to do that.
