It works. It’s not perfect. UPDATE: Used this on a multi-connection trip this week. Washington-Dulles to Denver, Denver to Las Vegas – and then back through the same airports. Six day trip, four flights, battery stayed good. SMS notification worked perfectly every time. The timestamps are still an issue, and the app still is really not up to par. Trakdot worked great flying out of Newark Liberty Airport The unit works as advertised. The app has a nice map overlay and shows your location. The battery indicator on the app doesn’t appear to update as one would expect. I replaced the batteries with known good ones and the app battery indicator still showed the previous level. Not a deterrent from purchasing the unit, just an note of awareness to trust the SMS about the battery levels as they are concise and timely. Trakdot worked great flying out of Newark Liberty Airport. Received a text message and email stating my luggage was at the airport. The device did not get a signal at Malpensa Airport in Italy, but when I returned from my trip and arrived in Newark Airport I received a text and email that my luggage was with me at the destination. I’m guessing they used a different frequency in Italy which caused the tracker not to get a signal. Im sure the trakdot will work great when traveling within the…
